About Noor

Noor grew up in a few different states until finally settling in Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and studied microbiology and infectious diseases. There, she dabbled in a few areas of research involving plant genetics and microbiology and participated in an iGEM synthetic biology competition in 2019. Now a graduate student in the BBS program, she is interested in studying anything and everything related to microbes. She is especially fascinated by their countless mechanisms of persistence and immune evasion.

Outside of lab, Noor enjoys painting, sketching, cooking, and aimlessly sauntering in Boston.
