About Cheyenne

Cheyenne grew up on the Kansas-Missouri border and received her undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Kansas. During her time there, she worked in Dr. Josephine Chandler’s lab to investigate the role of quorum sensing in bacterial interspecies competition. Post-graduation, she became a research technician at the Stowers Institute in the lab of Dr. Randal Halfmann, where she studied protein aggregation and supersaturation in a budding yeast model.
Having finally ventured beyond the Midwest, Cheyenne is now a graduate student in Harvard BBS. She is interested in host-microbe interactions in the context of the gut microbiome and the signalling mechanisms that govern these interactions.
Outside of lab, Cheyenne enjoys painting, cooking, and games of all persuasions. Ask her about tinned fish (and other shelf-stable proteins)!!
