About Claire

Claire hails from Idaho, a beautiful state in the Rocky Mountains, and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in biology at Harvard University. There, she serves as engagement director for the Harvard Undergraduate OpenBio Laboratory, an initiative that aims to democratize access to research for high school and college students. Research is a big passion for her and thus she is remarkably excited to be a part of Jost Lab, diving into the world of microbiology with the help of Harvard’s PRISE program.
In her free time, Claire can be found with her violin in hand (her favorite piece is Vitali’s Chaconne in G minor), climbing fire escapes (don’t tell building security), and performatively reading Sylvia Plath in public parks (she read The Bell Jar before it was cool).
